We offer four ranges of moissanite stones across our jewellery pieces: Pure, Starlight™ and Charles & Colvard's Forever Classic and Forever One Moissanite, all with superior brilliance and beauty.

Offering stunning moissanite engagement rings, solitaire rings, eternity rings, trilogy rings, halo and much more, as well as our bespoke jewellery service - why settle for a cheap diamond ring when you can have more sparkle with Moissanite?

With our on-site workshop, our expert jewellers design all our moissanite jewellery pieces in the heart of Birmingham's Jewellery quarter. All our Moissanite jewellery is hallmarked to legal requirements at Birmingham Assay Office. Whatever piece you choose - a solitaire ring, eternity ring, halo engagement ring or wedding ring - Moissanite UK, our skilled craftsmen apply the same level of skill, craftsmanship and detail to create our beautiful moissanite pieces.

Each moissanite stone is hand set into our moissanite jewellery and then carefully hand-polished before being packed in bespoke packaging. Our collection is endless, from Moissanite wedding rings, eternity bands, solitaire rings and trilogy rings. We also offer a large collection of moissanite pendants and moissanite earrings, all in 9ct yellow, 9ct white gold and 9ct rose gold and with the option also in 18ct white gold, 18ct yellow gold, 18ct rose gold and Platinum.

When Marilyn Monroe sang the famous line, "Diamonds are a girl's best friend," chances are good that she had no knowledge of moissanite. But if she had, and she had the opportunity to see them for the stunning beauty they radiate to the naked eye, musical history might be different.

Indeed, diamonds have been a favourite for countless generations, but moissanite has been a popular substitute for diamonds for many years. In fact, moissanite is so close in appearance to a diamond that it is practically impossible to tell the two apart. Couple our moissanite solitaire, whether it be a classic solitaire or a halo solitaire, with stunning wedding rings to match and sit alongside or to fit snug. From the classic 6 claw setting to a 16x12 pear-shaped moissanite halo engagement ring, we offer all shapes of moissanite stones.

Moissanite is a naturally occurring mineral called silicon carbide, which is very rare and can’t be found in nature large enough to be cut into even a one-carat gemstone. Moissanite today is created in a laboratory and despite their differing origins, these two gemstones have plenty in common.

Perhaps the biggest advantage of moissanite over diamonds is the price, for moissanite is considerably cheaper than a diamond. A moissanite gem is approximately one-tenth the cost of a mined diamond of equal size and quality. The value of moissanite is greater with larger carat sizes. In 2018 Sotheby’s unveiled its most jaw-dropping diamond to date – a 102.34 carat D flawless diamond. Described as a globally significant stone described by the Gemmological Institute of America as the “Largest Round Shaped, D colour, Flawless diamond ever graded.” This stone is believed to have been sold for over £35 million. Today we have a similar size Starlight™ Moissanite available at £100,000.

Moissanite VS Diamonds - both are precious gemstones used in jewellery and are quite comparable in terms of looks, characteristics, and brilliance. Hence there is no doubt that the moissanite diamond comparison has often become a debatable subject. Diamond is the hardest mineral substance ever known that occurs naturally on Earth. As most natural diamonds are formed through a very long period of time (at least 1 billion years) in the high-pressure and high-temperature environment of the Earth's mantle about 100 miles below the planet's surface, diamonds are brought close to Earth's surface gradually through periodical volcanic eruptions by magma.

On the other hand, Moissanite is a mineral that does not naturally occur on Earth. It is a mineral substance that belongs to the outer space and is constantly brought to Earth through meteorites and asteroids that have been bombarding the Earth's surface for billions of years. Moissanite's hardness ranks only second to diamond, and its availability on Earth is scarce and very limited. However, scientists have found a cost-effective way to synthetically create moissanite in the lab, lowering the cost significantly. Although moissanite has constantly been publicised as "fake diamonds", it is in actual no way that fake. It is simply a different type of mineral that is rather similar to a diamond in many ways. Both diamond and moissanite are colourless minerals, and because moissanite has a very high dispersion value compared to diamond, moissanite is no doubt the winner. Moissanite has more fire!

Moissanite Jewellery is significantly less expensive than diamond jewellery, meaning you can purchase the same 9ct gold, 18ct gold or platinum ring at a much lower cost. Alternatively, you can purchase a much larger stone at a lower price.

In summary, diamond has been known to be the preferred jewellery to go, whether for a diamond engagement ring, a diamond wedding ring or even a diamond dress ring for casual wear. However, diamond does not come cheap. It is, in fact, one of the most costly gems available today. Moissanite, on the other hand, is a great alternative to diamond as it has many similar characteristics of a diamond while only costing a fraction of the price.

Nevertheless, considering that moissanite is just as tough in durability and beautiful as a diamond, if not more, and due to the gradual and growing acceptance among people nowadays, there is no doubt that moissanite could be the next shiny star for years to come. In addition, as the moissanite diamond comparison proves, moissanite could even be the preferred gemstone for jewellery in times to come. No one really knows for sure - look back over the years where Emerald was where diamond is today.
